Performance Stage was founded in 1999 by Phil and Rebecca Martin. Phil was on tour as a rigger with bands such as REO Speed Wagon, Styx, Carmen, and others before founding Performance Stage. Phil’s passion was for the local community, enhancing the event, and installing industry in the area. Starting in Broken Arrow with a small crew, Performance Stage began coordinating events and equipment for weddings, musicians, graduations, installations, rigging, and more. As the staff grew in the mid-2000s, Performance Stage branched into travel stages known as “Mobile staging.” With the addition of mobile staging, our team began traveling the United States with “The Color Run,” providing staging, audio, and lights. This didn’t stop Performance Stage from its focus locally. With the installation of curtains in schools across the state, AVL updates in churches and event spaces, coordination for fundraisers at Southern Hills Country Club, Staging for Horse shows at the Fair Ground and much more, we continued to be active in Oklahoma to grow and empower the event space. We have continued our local growth in recent years by expanding our staff, equipment, and warehouse. With the addition of Dance and Gymnastic events, our crews travel all over the US setting up stages, lights, and more. Additionally, we have a large footprint in updating and maintaining church and performing arts centers’ audio, video, and lighting needs. This growth has allowed Performance Stage to Expand staff and resources. Our team comprises 12 full-time staff members, 2- Contract CDL drivers, and hundreds of local and national labor contacts and contractors. We have a diverse, well-equipped staff, with a vast inventory of rental equipment, allowing for greater ability to assist with events and installations.
